First Mini Album: fly

I tried to make my first mini album yesterday. I am not done with it and I actually added a title to it after I took the picture. I plan on making a youtube video about it but here are the pictures....Again I changed some things after I took the pictures.

Watch the youtube video to see the updated one and how I binded this together. As you can see there are no holes. :) Oh and sorry about my hand in one of the pics, the album kept trying to close.

Wow, that'll be a while.

My ASAP is now over. Hehe. Well not really. I am uploading my first youtube video! However, it'll take a while!

I couldn't get my Michaels SMALL haul. So I'll just put what I got here.

1. Brown Celebrate It Basic Narrows Brown/chocolate ribbon
2. One of the Michaels wood boxes. The one that looks like a treasure box
3. Three new studio g ink pads! Silver, Dark Purple/Mauve, and bright green
4. One of the BIG Michaels dollar stamps. The one with a bird on a branch with flowers on it. <- my favorite!

That is all I got! I was really hoping I could find some dollar chipboards, but I could never find them! I really wanted to start my first mini album with that handicap. Haha. Amazing that I've never done a mini album before? Im a new scrapper, thats why if you didn't know already.

However, there is a story to all this D;

I was just having a normal day, waking up getting ready for school. I put in my contacts and it started hurting. Shrugged it off and went to school. THEN, at the end of the day, my contacts began to burn, so I had to take them BOTH out. And those were my last sets. So I went on without vision. Haha. But anyway, I went to michaels and had to stay in one spot because I couldnt see anything.

Therefore, the dollar spot was the best spot to stay at. I was really hoping to somehow find a pad similar or the bo bunny Gabrielle 6x6. I cant buy online and anything like that, so, Michaels or other unkown ways is the only way to get scrapbook supplies. Sad huh? But I do with what I have! So I was happy to go to Michaels for the first time in a couple months even though I didnt get alot. :)

Thanks for reading my ramble and my haul. When the video is up I'll be sure to post! It is a tutorial on a flower by the way!

But anyway, I am hoping I can get around to posting the video of my really small Michaels haul. When I went yesterday, I was having a bad day! Right now I must finish my homework. When I'm done, Ill be sure to post ASAP! Stay tuned!

New Stuff Coming Soon!

Hey whoever is actually reading this!

I plan on making youtube videos soon and tomorrow I think I may be stopping at Michaels. Yay! Just hope I don't spend too much, hehe. The only reason I am going is because I plan on making my very first mini album soon! :3

Right now, I am working on some coaster projects. I bought some coasters from the 99 cent store the last I went so, I need to put my supplies to use on that. I wish I could make a mini out of them, but I can't make the hole to bind 'em together. I dont have those fancy machines or a crop-a-dile that everyone has so I'll think about ways to do this. Hehe.

Anyway, again I plan on making videos by the name ThatBasicScrapper. I am already on youtube with that name but never made any videos. So I may start off with a haul video, it's just one of the easiest ones. Now all I have to do is find my tripod or make a tripod <--- creativity! and I'll be set!

Thanks for reading and hope you stay for more!

Found it! :)

Yep, I found that darned cable. So, here are the two simple cards I made. You can tell just from a glance that it's easy. It took me about 2-5 minutes for each card. Hehe.

  • Manilla Colored Cardstock
  • Mocha? Colored Cardstock
  • Sandylion Friendship Word Sand (Not sure)
  • Martha Stewart Thank You Ribbon

I'm actually not sure what I used on this card. The pattern paper was just a scrap I had lying around, but I did have another sheet in another color. So, I just took the name from that and named the color how I thought it was...Sorry about that. But you can see it's really simple. The next one is really easy also.

  • Black Cardstock
  • Colorbok Wedding Themed Pattern Paper
  • White Ribbon (Offray)
  • Autumn Leaves Brushed Words (Enjoy)
  • Michaels Clear Rhinestones
The pattern paper came a from a kit that was wedding themed, so they have no names. Well not that I know of. Haha. The word enjoy, was random. I didn't have a stamp that would really work with the card so I just chose a random one. I added a rhinestone above the "j" because it didn't have a dot. There are three little rhinestones near the bottom left hand corner. I felt the rhinestone on the "j" looked lonely, so that's why the three rhinestones are there...

So that's the cards. Now onto the 99 cents only store find! So I went yesterday and I was just getting some extra tape runners. I only bought one but I usually buy at least one or two every time I go there. But anyway, I was looking at the other side of the school and scrapbooking section and looked at the very bottom. Behind a giant box was this little package with what appeared to be diecuts and stickers. There was also paper, but I thought it was printer paper material. However I was proved wrong. When I opened the package, the paper was much like cardstock and had the cutest little patterns. So here are a couple pictures...

So this was a really long post, but thats what I got out of the kit. It had a sticker saying it was acid free and it was by New Seasons. It's called Autumn Memories I think, the kit. So thanks for reading this lonnnnggggg post hehe. :)

That darned camera!

I made two really simply cards because I was, well, bored. So I wanted to share them, but the problem is...

I can't find the cord to plug in the camera to my laptop. Hehe, I am a forgetful person. Hopefully I'll be able to find it and share them.

But on a different note, I went to the 99 cent store yesterday for my mom to get some cleaning stuff and I ran across something interesting... When I find the cord, I'll be sure to post pics of what I found and the two cards!

Thanks for reading. :)
